Who Will Be The New King Of Beers?




With Anheuser-Bush being acquired by the large South American/European beverage conglomerate who will be the new King of Beers or All American owned brewer in the United States. The U.S. has over 1500 micro and craft breweries, some of them growing to a national and global scale such as The Boston Beer Co., maker of Sam Adams. Along with the craft beer market growing their seems to be a revival in some of the old favorites that our fathers/grandfathers drank, such as Pabst Blue Ribbon or to most folks a “PBR”. In fact Pabst Brewing is now the largest American-owned brewer. Under the PBR family are a host of old favorites. In fact PBR has over 25 distinctive brews, such as Schaefer’s, Blatz, Old Style(official beer of the Chicago Cubs), Lone Star, Stroh’s and just recently they reintroduced Schlitz in several mid western states. This is the “Classic 60’s Formula” in the traditional brown glass bottles. During this era Schlitz was the #1 selling beer in the U.S.A.
